New Rohingya Film School

STORIES. VOICES. IMPACT. CHANGE.

Omar Faruk Mushfique

Omar Faruk Mushfique was a talented photographer, videographer, and filmmaker whose vision and dedication inspired many people in the Rohingya community.

He was a visionary, an able leader, and a modest colleague. His ability to connect with people was remarkable, and above all, he was an empathetic human being who believed in the power of stories and community.

Sadly, he passed away on 29 May 2020, leaving behind a vision that continues to inspire us. His contributions left an indelible mark on Rohingya life and storytelling.

We remain deeply grateful for everything he gave to the community. His principles, beliefs, and vision will continue to guide Rohingya Film School and the generations of storytellers who follow.
